Export Potential Map Tutorial

Export Potential Map is a tool from the International Trade Centre (ITC) that allows you to discover products and markets with high export potential, using trade, tariff, and supply and demand data.

1. Visit exportpotential.intracen.org/en
2. No registration is required to use most of its features
3. You can change the language (available in English, French, and Spanish)

From the main screen, choose an exporting country to see:

• Its main export opportunities
• Potential markets by product
• Data on demand, supply, and geographical proximity

Select a specific product to visualize:

• The countries with the highest import potential
• The untapped potential
• Existing competition in the target market

Functionality that allows you to identify country-product combinations with the greatest potential:

1. Select an exporting country
2. Observe products with high untapped potential
3. Explore emerging markets for each product

The graphs show:

• Export potential (maximum estimated value)
• Current actual exports
• Untapped potential

• Select Colombia as the exporting country
• Search for "cocoa" or enter the HS code
• Identify countries like Germany, Belgium, or the Netherlands as destinations with high potential
• Compare the current exported value with the estimated potential
